Chilli Paneer Recipe

Chilli Paneer is the standout amongst the most well-known dishes. It is a simple formula that can be made in only a couple of minutes at home. You can appreciate this yummy dish as it is or by adding it to the remaining chapatis to make some mouth-watering moves, which you can pack for your children in lunch and they will complete it no time.

 Chilli paneer is all time favorite of everyone; it’s a quick and delicious recipe to be served at any occasion, event, gatherings, family functions or in any parties. At My Kitchen Carnival , this chilli paneer recipe is easy to cook , as it is a Chinese dish and Chinese is my all time favorites… I keep on experimenting on chinese dishes, there are a lot of Chinese dishes on this blog as you can go through those recipes. This recipe is made up of Paneer and vegetables but it is really very tasty dish to eat.

Onions is another important ingredient in this Chinese cuisine recipe, it makes tastier and the combination of Onion and Capsicum gives it a different taste.

As it is the recipe of Chilli Paneer, don't forget to put Chillies and Garlic in this recipe but be careful about your need to make spicy.

In case you're a veggie darling, at that point you can tweak this formula a bit and include more vegetables of your decision, for example, child corns, zucchini to give some examples.

Serves - 4


For Paneer Cubes
  • 15-16 cubes Paneer                                                               
  • 5 Tbsp Corn Starch (araarot)
  • 3 Tbsp Maida
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
For Gravy
  • 1 Tbsp Oil
  • 1 onion 
  • 1/2 bowl of tomato puree
  • 1 Green Capsicum
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 8-10 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger
  • 2 Green Chillies
  • 1 tsp Soya Sauce
  • 1 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp chilli sauce (if you like spicy)
 For Garnishing add Spring Onions
  • Take Paneer in a bowl and add cornstarch to it and marinate paneer cubes into it, add water only if needed. When you see that powder is properly coated on paneer, deep fry them in refined oil and keep frying until they turn golden brown in colour.
  •  Chop all the vegetables in appropriate shape as given above, do not overcook vegetables, half cooked vegetables add more taste to the dish. 
  • Add oil in a pan, saute garlic in heated oil when it turns light brown in colour then add onions, capsicum, green chillies and saute them for 5 mins, when veggies get half cooked low the flame and add soya sauce, chilli sauce, tomato sauce, salt.
  • Add tbsp of cornstarch into water and pour the water into the pan and cook it until gravy gets thick. When the gravy gets ready off the flame and add fried paneer cubes into it and serve in a plate by garnishing with spring onions.
  • Serve hot with Veg Fried Rice.
